Police Seek Public Assistance in Solving 2019 Val Housebreaking Case

NELSPRUIT - The Val Police Department is calling on the public to aid in an ongoing investigation into a housebreaking incident that occurred in Val in October 2019. Authorities are seeking the assistance of Tediso Roy Motloung (39), who is believed to possess crucial information related to the case. During the burglary at Gables farm, four firearms and electrical appliances were stolen, prompting a relentless pursuit for justice.

Motloung, previously residing in Rooikopen informal settlement in Standerton, seems to have already vacated his former residence, adding a challenge to the police's attempts to reach him. Investigators firmly believe that his cooperation could significantly advance their efforts to solve the case.

Detective Sergeant Sibusiso Shili and Warrant Officer July Mahlangu are leading the investigation and have urgently requested Motloung or anyone aware of his current whereabouts to come forward without delay. Val Police Department can be reached at 071 465 8625 for Detective Sergeant Sibusiso Shili or 082 462 1536 for Warrant Officer July Mahlangu.

For those not directly connected to Motloung but with information regarding the case, cooperation is equally crucial. Members of the public can contribute to the investigation by calling the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or providing information through the MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and informants may choose to remain anonymous if preferred.

Speaking on behalf of the police department, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala stressed the significance of community involvement in resolving such criminal cases and ensuring justice for the victims. The police rely on the assistance of citizens in their tireless efforts to uphold the law and safeguard communities.

As the search for Tediso Roy Motloung intensifies, the police department encourages individuals with any pertinent information to come forward promptly. By working together, the public and law enforcement can create safer environments and help bring those responsible for the housebreaking incident to account.
