In the ongoing saga surrounding Tory Lanez's shooting case, tensions have escalated between the rapper's attorney, Jose Baez, and trial reporter Meghann Cuniff. The controversy erupted when Cuniff took to Twitter to provide an update on Lanez's legal proceedings, noting that despite Baez's promise to file a motion for Lanez's bail, no such motion had been submitted. She added a screenshot of Baez's Instagram Story, showcasing his vacation in Italy.

In response, Baez criticized Cuniff's reporting, accusing her of bias against Tory Lanez and questioning her qualifications as a journalist. He took to his Instagram Story to express his frustration, labeling Cuniff a "blogger" and asserting that her opinions lacked credibility due to her lack of legal training and court system experience.

Baez also shared a fabricated Twitter account mocking Cuniff, further fueling the dispute. Despite Baez's sharp words, Cuniff maintained a professional demeanor and responded by highlighting Baez's uncertainty about filing a bail motion and emphasizing that Tory Lanez was considering all available legal options.

This clash came as a surprise to some, given a previous letter from Baez to Cuniff in which he expressed respect and kindness. The abrupt change in tone from Baez left many wondering about the attorney's motivations and tactics.

Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion during a 2020 altercation. He was found guilty in December 2022 on three counts related to the incident. However, he is currently not in prison while Baez appeals the verdict.

The spat between Baez and Cuniff serves as the latest chapter in the dramatic legal proceedings surrounding Tory Lanez's case, further adding to the intrigue and speculation surrounding the situation.
