Songezo Zibi, leader of the South African party Rise Mzansi (SAPS), has promised thousands of his supporters that his party will reduce the murder rate in three years. Speaking at the party's final rally, Zibi emphasized the need for new leaders and the right policies to achieve this goal. He also promised to enable mothers to learn skills, find work, and earn an income through fully equipped daycare and early childhood development centers.

Zibi also outlined a plan to make the economy work by raising R300bn in three years through a wealth tax and setting up a national growth fund to repair infrastructure and create jobs simultaneously. He called this a "New Deal" for South Africa and assured that with the right political leadership, everyone would join the party.

The party would also ensure access to clean water and sanitation. Zibi expressed sadness and anger at the way the promise of freedom, equality, and dignity of democracy has been deferred due to the old leaders' squandered mandates and broken trust. He urged his party to turn the fears of South Africans into hope and transformation, asking for the representatives chosen to parliament to show them what it means to be new leaders with values.

Zibi's party's objective is to turn the fears of South Africans into hope and transformation. He asked for the support of his party members and the representation of their chosen representatives in parliament.
