The famous glamorous awards ceremony will take place on May 06, 2023, and will be hosted by the city of Mbombela in Mpumalanga. The ceremony will be broadcast live on SABC1 and supported by various SABC radio stations. The awards ceremony will also be broadcast live on SABC Plus and the YouTube channel of METRO FM.
The MMAs called for submissions in various categories, which closed on February 28.
After a brief hiatus, the MMAs provide a platform for interaction with music, business, public officials, communities, and the media, intending to recognize and honour luminaries and excellence in the music industry. In addition, this year's awards are designed to spark interest by identifying talent and encouraging development.
The 2023 METRO FM Music Awards include 20 categories and strict requirements for albums, singles, and recordings released between February 28, 2022, and February 28, 2023.
