Dela Finn's journey in the world of cinema began in June 2016 when he directed his first nonverbal short film, "BOUND TO BE," featuring the talented Nelson Mandela Junior. This captivating film showcased Dela's directorial prowess and caught the attention of film enthusiasts. Shortly after, he gained further recognition with "GIVE IT A TITLE," another nonverbal short film that delved into the complexities of love, starring Jane Igwe and Nelson Mandela Jr.

One of Dela Finn's most impactful works is the thought-provoking short film "ABUSED," which sheds light on the issue of domestic violence against women worldwide. Produced by his own company, Deland Films, this eight-minute film made history as the first short film to be shown in Ghanaian cinemas, drawing an overflowing audience and generating widespread awareness. "ABUSED" also received international acclaim, being named a Semi-Finalist at the REBEL MINDED FESTIVAL in Brooklyn, NY, as well as gaining recognition at the Africa Film For Impact Festival in Nigeria.

In addition to "ABUSED," Dela Finn has contributed to the cinematic landscape with various other projects. His short film "LIFE IN ACCRA," which premiered at Ghana's Silverbird Cinemas in 2019, portrayed the vibrant essence of the bustling city. It was recognized as a finalist at
Nigeria's Africa Film For Impact Festival and shortlisted at the Lift-Off Sessions in the United Kingdom.

Dela Finn's commitment to addressing social issues through film is evident in his work. In 2020, he released "DEAR DAD," a powerful seven-minute short film that focuses on the sensitive subject of rape. This impactful film was selected for the 4TH MULTICULTURAL FILM FESTIVAL in Toronto and the AFRICAN AMERICAN FILM MARKETPLACE & S.E MAINLY SHORT FILM SHOWCASE.


With his short film "I AM A CITIZEN," Dela Finn used the medium of cinema to shed light on the global problem of mob/jungle justice. The eight-minute film featured talented performers such as King Roger, Akua Creamy, and Donald Danquah, among others, and aimed to raise awareness and encourage dialogue on societal issues.

Taking his passion for storytelling to new heights, Dela Finn embarked on a full-length film project titled "ELORM" in 2022. This one-hour, thirty-minute film explores the theme of art and emphasizes the importance of honoring artistic expression in Senior High Schools. With a star-studded cast including Rita Richman, Donald Danquah, Akua Creamy, Portia Freeman, and Mapitso Sebidi, "ELORM" captivated audiences when it premiered at Silverbird Cinemas on Dela Finn's 28th birthday.
