Russia reported that Ukraine had attacked Moscow with at least five drones, all shot down or jammed. Moscow air defenses shot down four Ukrainian drones, while a fifth was stopped and crashed into the Odintsovo district. No one was injured. Two drones were intercepted near a village 30 km southwest of the Kremlin, and one was detected in the neighboring Kaluga region. Landings and takeoffs at Moscow's Vnukovo were restricted for several hours early on Tuesday before normal operations resumed after 0500 GMT.

A Russian air base is near Kubinka. Russia's foreign and defense ministries denounced the attack as terrorism, stating that the Kyiv regime's attempt to attack civilian infrastructure, including the airport, was another act of terrorism. The international community should realize that the United States, Britain, and France, permanent members of the UN Security Council, are financing a terrorist regime. There was no immediate comment from Kyiv. Ukraine rarely publicly claims responsibility for attacks inside Russia or on Russian-controlled territory.

High-profile drone attacks deep inside Russia have increased over recent months, with recent attacks on the Kremlin and Russian oil infrastructure. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that air defense forces have repelled the attacks, and all detected drones have been eliminated.
