Jozi FM News has shared a heartening update regarding the recent incident of a baby abduction in Devland. In a positive turn of events, the baby, who was less than a month old, has been successfully located. Authorities discovered the infant in the company of a woman who was en route to Limpopo province on Thursday afternoon.

Following the recovery of the baby, local law enforcement promptly transported the infant to the Eldorado Park police station. It was at this station that the emotional reunion between the baby and her relieved mother took place, ensuring the baby's safety and well-being.

The events leading up to this discovery reveal that while the baby's mother was visiting the Sassa offices to apply for a child support grant, the infant was entrusted to the care of her grandmother. During this period, a family member paid a visit to the residence. However, shortly after the family member's arrival, the grandmother noticed the alarming absence of the baby.

In response to the situation, the police promptly initiated an investigation that led to the apprehension of the primary suspect at the Tembisa taxi rank, where she was found in possession of the missing child. Subsequently, the suspect was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon. During the subsequent questioning, the suspect implicated another family member in the abduction.

Both individuals suspected of involvement in the incident are scheduled to make a court appearance at the Protea magistrate's court on Friday. The family, through a spokesperson named Nthabiseng Dibakwane, expressed their relief and gratitude for the safe return of the baby, highlighting their intention to attend the court proceedings. The spokesperson also expressed the family's deep disappointment and sorrow over the fact that a family member could be involved in such a crime. The family is determined to see that the legal process unfolds appropriately, holding the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
