The victim, a 40-year-old British doctor, was accompanied by two family members during their visit to Cape Town last week. Unfortunately, they took a wrong turn from Cape Town International Airport and found themselves entangled in the protest. Regrettably, the situation escalated, resulting in the death of the tourist.
Joseph Swartbooi, a police spokesperson, confirmed that Nyanga police have launched a murder investigation in response to this incident. The victim was discovered in the driver's seat with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
