Earlier that same morning, at around [insert time here], a group of five adult men had made an unsuccessful attempt to rob a liquor store in Boshof. They brandished a firearm and threatened an employee, but the quick thinking of the store owner allowed them to escape before any harm was done.

The Boshof police promptly alerted their colleagues in Kimberley, and the Flying Squad strategically intercepted a white Mercedes Benz on the Boshof Road, near Cassandra, at 10:15 AM.
During the operation on September 5, 2023, authorities seized ammunition, balaclavas, grinders, and various other tools believed to have been used in previous robberies.
