Respected Tzaneen Resident Faces Ongoing Threats as Accusations of Resemblance to Murderer Persist; Sekhwela's Pleas for Clarification Grow Louder

In a distressing turn of events, Zane Sekhwela, a highly respected resident of Tzaneen, finds himself embroiled in an online whirlwind of misinformation. Falsely accused of resembling convicted murderer Sandile Mantsoe, Sekhwela vehemently denies any connection to the notorious criminal. Despite his attempts to clarify his identity, Sekhwela now faces a severe threat to his safety after his picture was erroneously circulated on various social media platforms. As the Department of Correctional Services swiftly confirmed Mantsoe's incarceration status, Sekhwela, an esteemed accountant, entrepreneur, and advocate for small businesses, battles to salvage his reputation amidst mounting public speculation.

In an exclusive interview with HMR News Updates, Sekhwela passionately declared, "I am not Sandile nor a lookalike. It's not funny that people do these tweets and spread false news. I don't want me or my family to be attacked for something that is far from me." His strong statement was backed by a tweet he posted a year ago, where he vehemently denied the resemblance to Sandile Mantsoe, expressing his disagreement with those who claimed they looked alike.

A graduate from the University of Johannesburg, Sekhwela possesses an extensive professional background, having worked for reputable companies such as FNB, MTN, and the City of Johannesburg Municipality. Additionally, he is the proud founder of "Le Meilleur Premium Gin," a company based in Limpopo.

Expressing his concerns, Sekhwela emphasized, "I still want to work with companies. I don't want this to affect my life just because some people find it funny to circulate my pictures online, misidentifying me with a convicted killer." His firm resolve to continue his professional endeavors echoes his dedication to his craft and his commitment to contributing positively to the business community.

Addressing the recent online frenzy, Sekhwela clarified that he had not visited Johannesburg throughout the year. "I don't know who saw me in Braamfontein last week because I have not been in Joburg this year," he stated emphatically, urging people to exercise caution before perpetuating unverified information.

Meanwhile, Chrispin Phiri, spokesperson for Correctional Services, promptly responded to concerns about Sandile Mantsoe's whereabouts. Phiri reassured the public that Mantsoe remains in custody at the Standerton Correctional Centre, dispelling fears of an escape. Additionally, Mantsoe, already serving a 32-year sentence for the murder of Karabo Mokoena, now faces additional charges related to defrauding investors through his Trillion Dollar Legacy investment scheme.
