Two suspects, including a man, considered the father of disgraced celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana, will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning concerning the jail escape of Facebook Rapist Thabo Bester.

Bester escaped the Mangaung highest security prison, administered by the security firm G4S, in May of last year after staging his death in a fire.

The convicted rapist and killer, as well as his suspected collaborator, Magudumana, were apprehended in Arusha, Tanzania, over the weekend and will be returned.

A third individual, thought to be a Mozambique national, was apprehended with the pair on Friday night near the Kenyan border.

On Tuesday morning, a 39-year-old former G4S employee and a 65-year-old man thought to be Dr. Nandipha Magudumana's father will make their first appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.

The couple has been accused of assisting and abetting a convicted prisoner's escape from legal custody.

This comes after Bester fled from the Mangaung jail in May of last year, which the Department of Correctional Services stated was made feasible by guards and prison authorities.

G4S continues to assert that Bester perished in the jail fire and refuses to admit that he fled.

Meanwhile, a group led by deputy police commissioner Tebello Mosikili is in Tanzania to finalize the repatriation of Bester and his accomplices to stand trial in South Africa.
