Limpopo police are searching for two teenage boys who are suspected of killing a motorist who gave them a lift from the outskirts of Tzaneen. The incident occurred when the driver refused to pull up the handbrake of the driver, and one of the hitchhikers pulled out a firearm and shot him at point blank range. The hitchhikers then drove with the woman towards town, dumped the deceased at a gravel road, and drove away with her. They robbed her of cash, bank cards, cellphones, and made cash transactions with their cards. They then drove to the bushes and raped her, leaving her behind. The woman managed to walk until help was sought, and the stolen Suzuki Swift sedan was found burnt in Letsitele. A case of murder, rape, malicious damage to property, robbery with a firearm, and carjacking has been opened.
