"The chemistry - it's about a friendship-love chemistry - trust me," Pinkett-Smith explained. "Let me tell you, don't think that Pac and I - like I write in the book - we had those moments. I wish I could get people to understand the repelling nature."
Pinkett Smith referred to Tupac as her soulmate, emphasizing the profound friendship they shared. "It was like God made us that way," she continued. "It was like, look, I'm going to put y'all together, right? Y'all are going to be a dynamic duo. But I'm going to tell you right now, I'm going to make it so y'all are not going to be able to get together 'cause that just wasn't the purpose."
During her interview, Pinkett Smith also disclosed that Tupac had proposed to her while he was incarcerated at Riker's Island.
