Dingaan Thobela's 14 children are reportedly in conflict with their grandfather over the late boxer's estate, just two weeks after his burial. Thobela, a boxing legend, passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 57 in his Johannesburg apartment. His children are seeking an equal division of his assets, while his father, Godfrey Thobela, has allegedly taken control of everything. The matter is currently in court, and Godfrey has received a summons.

A neighbor revealed that Dingaan had not been home in three years and was alone when he died. "Dingaan lived in a back room in a dilapidated building where he owned shops in Langlaagte. His body was found in a state of decay in that back room," the neighbor stated. After his death, Dingaan's father allegedly posted his banking details for clients of The Rose Funeral Parlour to deposit money directly into his account, since Dingaan's accounts had been frozen.

Godfrey Thobela confirmed to ZiMoja that he received a summons, saying, "They are taking me to court. It might be about splitting his assets. The police delivered the summons last week, but I have nothing with me. Everything is still at his property in Langlaagte. His cars had broken down and are with the mechanics until they are fixed."
